On 20 December, Viaqua and Amilaxa Servicios Generales, the special employment centre for people with disabilities, signed a business collaboration agreement to carry out a number of activities in Galicia. Amilaxa is based in Fene, where the water provider Viaqua has been managing the complete water cycle since 1993.

Amilaxa aims to be the perfect partner for companies, institutions and professionals as a socially responsible general service supplier. The company’s human capital is men and women with physical, intellectual and sensory disabilities and mental disorders.

Viaqua, which has the Bequal Foundation seal certifying and identifying its commitment to and efforts in integrating people with disabilities in the labour market, remains committed to working with Amilaxa on a number of activities that help create jobs in Galicia and facilitate social and work integration.

The first joint action between the two organisations was the preparation and supply, by the employment centre, of 580 Christmas hampers distributed among Viaqua workers.
