Yesterday, the San Telmo Awards, corresponding to the 2017 and 2019 editions, granted by the College of Engineers, Roads, Canals and Ports of Galicia took place in the City of Culture of Santiago.

The “General interceptors of the right bank of the Ferrol estuary”, whose works were executed by ACUAES, have achieved a second prize for the environmental improvements generated and the sustainability of their approaches, as well as Viaqua has been recognized as a company for the implementation of March of the works once finished.

The performance “General interceptors of the right bank of the Ferrol estuary”, in operation since April 2017, in which 6 people from Viaqua work, involved an investment of more than 54.3 million euros and included the construction of 11 tanks of storms, a 25.4 km network of collectors and the O Porto regulatory station. ACUAES executed the necessary works to complete the Ferrol estuary sanitation system and thus be able to comply with the requirements of Directive 91/271 / EEC on wastewater sanitation.

The ceremony was attended, among others, by the president of the Xunta de Galicia, Alberto Núñez Feijóo; the subdelegate of the Government in A Coruña, Pilar López-Rioboo, the president of the College of Civil Engineers, Canals and Ports, Juan Antonio Santamera; as well as the general director of ACUAES, Rosa Cobo.
