The company won for its Cultura Justa (Fair Culture) project, solidifying Viaqua's recognition as a company committed to occupational health and safety. The water services provider has executed various actions to improve the health and safety of its employees, above and beyond strict compliance with applicable regulations. Julio Masid, Viaqua’s General Manage, received the award on behalf of the company during the ceremony at the Hotel Villareal, Plaza de las Cortes, in Madrid.

Viaqua's Cultura Justa project was promoted by the SUEZ Group and introduced in the company in 2017. The initiative, directed at workers, aims to foster a positive approach to health and safety, encouraging spontaneous reporting of incidents and zero tolerance to safety breaches.

Viaqua wanted to stress the involvement and participation of its workers not just in this project, but in all occupational health and safety actions carried out by the company, such as reducing work accidents and adopting healthy habits.

The event was held during the World Day for Safety and Health at Work, providing an opportunity to acknowledge the work that large and medium-sized companies such as Viaqua, Adif, Tragsa and CEMEX are doing through initiatives to implement a culture of prevention at work.
